About the Heretic

Atlanta's leather-and-dance institution.

The Heretic has been serving Atlanta since 1991. We're a gay nightclub on Cheshire Bridge Road built around a big dance floor, a loud sound system and a crowd that has been coming here for decades.

The week moves from Monday's Stars of the Century show to Wednesday's Pup Night, Thursday's country dancing, Friday's Ritual and Saturday's circuit parties. See The Heretic events for dates and tickets.

Our Saturdays bring in DJs from around the world, and the room is a fixture of Atlanta Pride weekend, including the official after party for the Georgia Aquarium Pride Kick Off.

We also support the community we came from: Joining Hearts, AID Atlanta and the charities and organizations we host events with all year.

Serving Atlanta since 1991.

Why the Heretic

Three reasons we're still here.

  1. No cover midweek

Wednesday's Pup Night and Thursday's Country night are free to get in, with free country dance lessons from 8 to 9 PM.

  2. DJs worth the trip

Saturdays bring international and touring DJs to the booth, with tickets sold in advance for the big parties.

  3. Your party, our room

Our venue can be reserved and decorated for private, controlled-access events, with catering, invitations, bartenders and security arranged for you.
